Kenyan cbank seeks to mop up $24 mln via repos
NAIROBI, May 17 (Reuters) - Kenya's central bank sought to
take 2 billion shillings ($23.7 million) out of the market via
repurchase agreements on Thursday, the fifth straight session it
has done so after an increase in liquidity due to debt

NAIROBI, May 16 (Reuters) - The Kenyan shilling fell
on Wednesday, driven lower by a broad-based investor exodus from
riskier assets but paring losses after the central bank sold
dollars directly to commercial banks for a second day and mopped
up liquidity.
