DAR ES SALAAM, May 16 (Reuters) - The Bank of Tanzania
issued the following results for a five-year treasury bond
auctioned on Wednesday for a total amount of 30 billion
Tanzanian shillings ($19.02 million).
Following are the results:
FIVE-YEAR TREASURY BOND
AMOUNT ADVERTISED: 30 billion shillings
AMOUNT TENDERED: 31.63 billion shillings
AMOUNT ACCEPTED: 15 billion shillings
WEIGHTED AVERAGE PRICE: 80.2209 shillings

Tanzania gold production up 13 pct in 2011
DAR ES SALAAM, May 16 (Reuters) - Tanzania's gold production
rose to 40.4 tonnes in 2011 from 35.6 tonnes a year ago after
mining companies invested in higher output due to cash in on the
rising price of the precious metal, its central bank said on

Tanzania April inflation falls to 18.7 pct -stats body
DAR ES SALAAM, May 15 (Reuters) - Tanzania's year-on-year
inflation rate fell for the fourth straight month
to 18.7 percent in April from 19 percent a month earlier after
food and fuel costs decreased, the National Bureau of Statistics
said on Tuesday. |
